Pit and Fissure – Minimal lesion

Description

This tooth was treated many years ago prior to the advent of the high strength GICs so one of the original Type II. 1 restorative aesthetic glass-ionomers was placed and preparation of the cavity was very conservative. There was a small defect in the lingual fissure so most of the fissure was opened with a very fine tapered diamond at intermediate high speed under air/water spray.
